NYC Pictures

Kiddies skating at Rockafeller Centre

The Gaetani's house in Averill Park, NY. Isn't it cute? It's so christmassy!

The view from the top of the Empire State Building.... I was amazed by how built up this city was. Sydney would probably fit in the Financial district at the end of Manhatten Island..... about a tenth of the city.

The beautiful Brooklyn Bridge. It's an amazing construction. The views from it are fantastic too!

See what I mean? The financial district of Manhatten Island from the Brooklyn bridge. The twin towers should be standing in the middle of this shot.

Brooklyn, outside Paul's apartment (Lindsay's Uncle), this is exactly what I pictured New York as being like!

NYC hot dog vendor. There are people selling stuff on the street everywhere!

Dave,
FANTASTIC photos!
Are you going to do the Stature of Liberty?
Madison Square Gardens? Broadway?
Central Park? See Soho?
Stand ourside the Dakota building?
Did you go to the twin towers site?

Happy Christmas!
Love us!

Thanks Jan and Pat!

I want to catch the Stanton Island ferry past the statue of liberty when I go back to NYC. I went to Madison Square Garden, I think I'll see an Ice Hockey Game there. We walked along Broadway quite a lot, especially around Times Square and we walked through SoHo on our long walk from Brooklyn to Downtown Manhatten. A local told us that the twin towers site wasn't really a place for tourists so we didn't go there.....

What is the Dakota building?

Love the photos Dave! They are really great. Someday I will have to go to New York. I think that I would like to go at Christmas time as the people would be in a better mood and I could possible see it in the snow.

Thank You so much for the hot stuff, tea towels, and the mit. That was great, I saved it for Christmas. When I picked up the present I thought that it was wrapped in paper...very cleaver!

In your last entry you talked about looking for a deer. I hope that you were not going to be armed!!! I thought that you like animals enough not to eat them??? Cara and I saw a couple of deer when we were up in Sequoia but the photos did not come out too well.

Well Happy Holidays!!!! and thanks again.
